Between January 22 through February 18, 2018 several vehicles were broken into in the 5000 block of West County Rd 116.    Thousands of dollars in stolen property have been reported from these burglaries.   The suspects will approach a vehicle and see if it is unlocked to gain entry.   The Midland County Sheriff’s Office and Midland Crime Stoppers is reminding everyone to double check their vehicle to ensure that it is secure even if you are leaving the vehicle for a short period of time.

On February 1st, two subjects walked into the convenience store located at 2315 E. Front.  As the store clerk bagged the items, one of the subjects took the items to their vehicle.  The other subject pretended he was going to pay and then took off running.   Both suspects appear to be Hispanic males.  One is 6’0” weighing approximately 280 pounds last seen wearing a gray jacket, black jeans and gray hat.   The other suspect is 5’8” and weighs approximately 180 pounds wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and gray hat.

On February 9, 2018 at 8:43 p.m., deputies met with a complainant who stated that over $30,000 worth of property had been stolen in the 2900 block of South County Rd 1210.   The complainant stated that a Gray 2018 Texa car hauler was stolen and loaded on the trailer was a Red 2014 Kawasaki UTV and a purple Go-Cart.  The property was last seen hours before being stolen.

On January 3, 2018 at 11:18am, deputies met with the complainant who stated his 2016 Freightliner truck, valued at over $80,000.00, was stolen from the 11000 Block of West County Road 72. Deputies and the complainant activated the GPS on the truck and later discovered the truck a few miles south of the location of where it was stolen from. The truck was vandalized, and suspects locked the doors prior to leaving the truck. Even though the truck was recovered, investigators are needing your help in capturing the suspects involved in this theft.

On January 1, 2018 at 10:04 a.m., deputies met with the victim in the area of South County Road 1273 who advised that between December 28th and January 1st unknown subjects damaged an excavator and a motor grader that was left at a work site.  The suspects damaged the tracks, windshields and the blades were broken off which caused the hydraulic lines to break.   The total cost of damage was over $80,000.

On December 21, 2017 at 3:25 pm deputies responded to the 3300 block of South County Road 1180 in reference to a stolen trailer.   The victim stated that on December 18, 2017 at 6:30 pm a white pickup entered the victim’s property and backed up to a 2016 black 19-ft homemade goose neck trailer.   The suspects hook up the trailer to the white pickup and leave the property. The white pickup is described as having a flat bed with white decals on the windows of the back doors.

The second suspect is a black male with black hair, also in his thirties, 6’0 and 200 pounds wearing a blue shirt with black long-sleeve underneath.

On October 17th, deputies responded to the 2600 block of East Interstate 20 in reference to a Theft.   The victim states three blue 16-foot utility trailers were taken from the business.   Two Maxey brand name trailers and one A&E brand name trailer were stolen.   Two of the trailers were loaded with booster pump type equipment and the other was loaded with water pump type equipment.   The total value of the trailers is over $120,000.

The suspect is a Hispanic male in his mid-twenties, approximately 5’6 and 160 pounds.  The suspect was last seen wearing a red jacket with gray trim, black shorts and white shoes with pantyhose over his head.

In the early morning hours of September 7th, a suspect broke into the business located at 1706 S. Midkiff.  The suspect made entry by going through the back window.  Once inside, the suspect or suspects took 350 iPad mini 2’s valued at over $122,000.
